A Year on Since Expanding the Company

In late 2022, as part of our upcoming 30th anniversary, the decision was taken to expand the business and operate as three distinct divisions. Within 8 months we had developed a strategy, embarked on rebranding and launched a brand-new website, which went live in July 2023.

Positive Change

This positive change in direction quickly showed us that the power of marketing can work very well, and we rapidly found ourselves continually working at capacity. The situation required us to recruit additional staff both at office level and on site, which although challenging at times, has allowed us to expand in a controlled manner, whereby we are still able to offer the level of service previously expected of us, whilst adding new services that we had previously not been able to offer.

A Year On

A little over a year since the company expanded and we find ourselves maintaining a significant amount of secured works, seeing us well into 2025 – which in the past certainly wasn’t always the case. Although repeat business has always been a very high level of our annual turnover, we have been mindful over recent years that it is short-sighted to assume that our loyal clients will always be there and able to provide us with sufficient work. Since the expansion we have worked, or are working with many new clients, some of whom we have already completed multiple contracts with.

Taking a closer look at what kind of projects we have been involved with over the year we present a selection of the varied types of work:

Exmouth House – Survey, concrete and brickwork repairs, together with protective coatings to the external envelope of an office building.

Thames Eyot (Phase II) – Heritage works to a listed brick wall on the river Thames, replacing failed brickwork and repointing, using an English Heritage approved mortar.

Astor Court Hotel – Preparation and tanking of previously redundant vaults beneath the pavement, to allow them to be used to be used in the future for archiving.

Tothill Multi-Storey Car Park – Replacement deck coatings to the upper floors, combined with repairing significantly defective columns that required extensive temporary propping.

Hayes Bridge – Temporary damming of the water course, running beneath a road bridge, followed by preparation of the concrete, corrosion control, extensive repair and the application of protective coatings.
